20 employees from the Magor Brewery recently joined forces with the Keep Wales Tidy team in order to remove rubbish at the shoreline in Magor Pill and Caldicot, part of the Wales Coastal Path.
The MP for Newport East, Jessica Morden, also took part in the clean-up which occurred in celebration of World Environment Day.
Following the event, Morden noted:
“It was great to join the teams in action. Workers, with the management at AB InBev have strived to make the Company processes more environmentally friendly over a number of years. It’s pleasing to see this commitment taken out into the wider community. ”
The Magor Brewery is owned by AB InBev, a company who claim to place high value in protecting the environment in the local areas around all their UK breweries.
They are always keen to encourage their staff to get involved with such events.
The special projects manager at Keep Wales Tidy, Chris Partridge, was keen to praise those who took part, saying they had all set an exemplary example for others to follow.
