Goa Express-
This train is not about the coaches or facilities provided. It is about the journey and the sights that you get to see on the way. The train runs from Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan. It covers a whopping 2202kms distance in 39 hours 30 minutes. The view outside the window is splendid as the train cuts through the numerous states in India. Thick green forests, creamy white waterfalls, wide and calm rivers, vast sandy beaches, bustling cities and deserts; there is nothing you can’t see when you are on this train.
Baramulla-Banihal DEMU –
This train runs in Jammu and Kashmir covering a distance of 135kms. It travels for 2 hours 45 minutes. This train must be taken especially in the winters to see the magnificent view of the snowy Kashmir from your train windows. Baramulla Banihal Express will be booked in advance during winters. While some have to travel genuinely, others come only to enjoy the snow and the weather. Cutting through the snow-covered fields, you can see fairy-tale like cottages from the window. The train passes 11.2-kilometre tunnel in Pir Panjal Range, and the youngsters have a blast howling on top of their voices.
Palace on Wheels –
If you have lots of money and want to spend it on a royal experience, you must travel on The Palace on Wheels train. It is a luxury tourist train that takes the route from New Delhi – Jaipur – Udaipur – Bharatpur – Agra – New Delhi. The train was launched to promote tourism in Rajasthan. This train has it all from restaurants, suites, bedrooms, bathrooms, spas to bars. All the facilities are rich and outstanding.
Metro –
Travel on a metro train to experience the fast local trains of India. The metro trains are used in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to travel from one part of the city to another. This is because the cities are large and using any other mode of transportation is a waste of time.
Gatimaan Express –
This is a semi high speed train running between New Delhi and Agra in just 105 minutes. The train covers 200 km distance with a speed of 160 km per hour. It is quite expensive compared to the other trains, but the hospitality, ambience, facilities and food are all state of the art. You will be travelling on one of the modern 12 coaches of the train that resemble an aeroplane. There are Executive Class and Chair Car categories too.
